About HKMSA
The Hong Kong Medical Society of Australia (HKMSA) is a not-for-profit organisation founded for and run by Hong Kong medical students and doctors in Australia. Aiming to provide a platform for professional development and social networking, HKMSA offers year-round events including upskilling workshops, tutorials, career-related seminars and networking opportunities to support our members through their medical journey in Australia. While COVID-19 has brought about impacts to our plans, the HKMSA committee is working hard to ensure the community stays connected in these difficult times. Apart from our current members, HKMSA is also dedicated in working with aspiring medical students from Hong Kong to provide guidance on their path in pursuing Medicine in Australia.
We welcome anyone with a background in Hong Kong or are interested in pursuing a Hong Kong medical career to join our growing family!
Founders' words
Welcome to HKMSA! As the founders of the body, we first met at the Hong Kong Healthcare Careers Night and we asked ourselves, why isn't there a society for Hong Kong medical students studying in Australia or those in Hong Kong who are keen to launch a career in Australia? Driven by the passion to create a meaningful platform, we have sought to provide networking opportunities for everyone in this community.
